De er trykt med blæk, der indeholder fosfor, som får dem til at lyse, når de udsættes for ultraviolet lys. De sorte dele er dækket af små sorte hår, der giver en behagelig fløjlsagtig fornemmelse og efterlader området "slukket". Plakaterne ser bedst ud under ultraviolet lys eller farvede LED-lys (helst i blå-violette nuancer), men de ser også godt ud uden denne type lys!
